Looking for a good source for nice fabric to make wedding dress?
A friend of mine is having her wedding dress made, but having a really difficult time finding good fabric (taffeta or silk organza) at the local stores (Joanne's Fabric or Hancock). Does anyone know of a good source?
Joanns has the biggest selection you'll find, that's not very expensive. the only other fabric stores i can think of, would be to look online, but that's iffy since it will look totally different online than in a store, and is more expensive. usually there are several Joanns stores withing an hour or so of each other, so just check out the other stores. when looking for fabric for my prom dress, i got some from the store in my town, settling for a differnt colour, but when i went to the store near my sister, they had a huge array of the colour i wanted. each store has a different selection. they can also special order fabric for you. they have a huge book to order from at the cutting desk usually. and it has all of the satins, organzas and other bridal fabrics available to, i believe, every store in the corporation.
